Kit had me scratching my head.

Best I can come up with it's celebrating a famous incident in the club's history - the BLACKPOOL scandal, when Bobby Moore, Brian Dear and Jimmy Greaves went out on the piss, dragging teetotal Clyde Best along for his company, before a Cup match that they thought was going to be called off.

Cannot think of any other connection to ORANGE other than the TANGERINES...

Obviously, someone's got hold of the wrong end of the stick, if they think this INfamous event is worth celebrating.

The match wasn't called off, and we lost.

Decent run out against a league one level team from what I saw
Positives
Oggy looking up to speed he NEEDS to play subday no way the German kid gets in over him. Thought Benny looked good again Soucek scoring is a positive because without his goals there’s not much point to him.
Cornet could go in both lively created chances but missed an open goal and could of put players in on more than once and poor final ball let him down.
Scamacca scoring again and a sublime pass to Benny when cornet missed open goal but thought his general hold up play was poor though considering the opposition
Keeper mad a couple of good saves and certainly has better distribution that Fab imo he needs to start Sunday
Johnson played well scandalous he didn’t start against Brighton he’s by far and away our best fullback
Good to see the kids get sone game time but to be fair none really did much and if I’m honest from the little I’ve seen of them none look ready yet
Negatives
Cresswell gets worse every game he had a pub player taking the piss out of him in that first half , don’t rate Emerson but I’ll be fucking glad if he starts Sunday
German lad has great distribution and looks genuinely two footed I can’t actually tell if he’s left or right footed yet but he does not look like a centrehalf and doesn’t look great defensively
If I did a average section Lanzini fornals but considering the level of opposition they both go in the negative

Didnt see the game but always were going to be on a hiding to nothing against the (not so) Great Danes.
Got the first goal and took any nervousness out & able to give a few a run out.
Its Scamacca starting on Sunday now as our no.1 centre forward isnt it? SURELY

KD
That sun's it up.
But for fucks sake what manager would not make wholesale changes when you are 5-1 up with 35 minutes to go.
Soucek,Lanzini and Scamacca could all come off with Coventry, Downes and Okoflex all on. See how they go for a good amount of time but no he waits another 15 minutes.
Bringing on Antonio was such a wate of time.
Pisses me the old jock c***

Moyes didn’t look happy when Benrahma scored…

Good result against a lower level team…

Hopefully raises confidence and performance for Villa game

I never called anyone shit. I watched the game and as far as I remember, he made a contribution to soucek's goal - crossing for kehrer's header. You think it's a vendetta because someone's pointing out that he gives the ball away too much and can't run?

Iron Duke.
1 half he was sitting back in a back three. Did t do much else then passing to Ogbonna.
2 half he pushed further forward and made a few very good crosses.

Os, I loved the kit

Meanwhile, tonight’s other matches that featured previous opponents of ours in European football, consist of the following:

FCSB, formerly known as Steaua Bucharest, beat Viking Stavanger 4-3 on aggregate. They knocked us out of the UEFA Cup during the 99-00 season.

Fiorentina, whom we lost against 2-0 on aggregate in the 1976 Anglo Italian cup winners cup, beat FC Twente 2-1 on aggregate.

Anderlecht’s match against Young Boys is still being played, but they are losing 1-0 at home and the tie is level, 1-1 on aggregate. Anderlecht infamously beat us 4-2, after we had led 1-0, during the 1976 cup winners cup final.

I only saw the goals, and Cresswell made a big contribution to two of them. Was he really that shit, or is there just an agenda against him?

2 European seasons in a row!

Imagine thinking that 2 years ago.

Sometimes a bit of reflection and realism is needed for some of our fanbase.

thought it was a decent performance, the movement of the front three was impressive. thought oggy was superb, and his partnership with kehrer looked good. johnson was a big improvement at RB, hit some nice passes and got forward well. cresswell continues to give the ball away and hardly ever cross the halfway line. still got questions about the midfield three, but it was better. scamacca took his goal well, but the highlight for me was his brilliant reverse pass that he played to bennie. it was a shame maxie fucked it up missing a sitter. nice to downes & flex get one. A professional performance, in the hat for tomorrow and travelling to villa with some much needed confidence. All the negative cunts can fuck off

Re: ⚽ Viborg FF v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
The 3 upfront to start helped especially first 20 or so mins first half when they and our midfield pressed them much better. We pressed better generally in the game but once we got the first goal we seemed to rake the foot off the gas and revert to how we have been in other games with misplaced passes the main issue.

However we got the job done and pleased with Scamacca who is getting up to speed but needs better service still. Took his goal very well.

MOTM for me was Ogbonna who was strong and decisive. Kehrer look ok alongside although the Danes were not the harshest test.

Downes like Coventry neat and today and you could see Downes is prepared to track and close and do the dirty work but hard to learn too much as the game was won when he came on.

Soucek looked better although still a few misplaced passes. Lanzini was our poorest player IMO and Cresswell looked dodgy tonight.

All in all, good result, average performance

Don't think there was any chance that this was going to be a bust-a-gut, or exhibition match.

Containment & energy conservation were the drivers and & suspect some of the team already had the Villa game on their minds.

Good result - Group stage European football...AGAIN.

Breen was saying how West Ham wasted money on transfers a few years back. I wonder if he felt guilty about that?
